The Beethoven Journal

The American Beethoven Society also supports the publication of The Beethoven Journal. Until 2019, The Beethoven Journal was published twice a year in summer and winter. The last issue in this format, Vol. 34 no. 2, was printed in March 2020.

In 2021 The Beethoven Journal was relaunched in an open-access peer-reviewed format hosted by SJSU Scholarworks: https://scholarworks.sjsu.edu/beethovenjournal/

The Beethoven Journal welcomes submissions of articles on all aspects of Beethoven scholarship, including the many diverse approaches that the field now encompasses. The open-access format means that the content is available online to Beethoven scholars and enthusiasts around the world, free of charge.
