One of Britain’s most creative and distinctive pianists, Julian Jacobson is an alumnus of the Royal College of Music, Oxford University and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. He performs regularly at the major London venues including Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room and has toured in more than 40 countries world wide. He has partnered with many leading instrumentalists including Zara Nelsova, Ivry Gitlis, Nigel Kennedy and Steven Isserlis. Chairman of the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe, he gave his first “marathon” performance of all 32 sonatas from memory in a single day in 2003, repeated in 2004 and 2013. He is currently recording the cycle.
